LANDSCAPE/AGRICULTURE SUPERVISOR


 

Job Requirements

  • Education: high school or any related field
  • Experience: minimum of 3 years in the agricultre or horticulture field.

Job Purpose

To lead a team of different skilled of labors, gardeners, plumbers and electrician, and oversee wide range of landscape, maintenance as well as agriculture projects. Responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and final completion of the jobs. He is also responsible to manage maintenance team for residential, commercial and public facilities as well as create plans and meet with clients to discuss the scope of work. He responsible to ensure that maintenance activities are completed according to the agreed specifications, deadline and standards to meet the SKD business strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet clients and management to develop or refine work plans for the maintenance, which may include decorative plants, ground cover, and landscaping structures (e.g., walkways, water, features and lighting).
  • Create and maintain designs, estimate costs and negotiate prices for plant if required by customer.
  • Lead gardeners and labors who maintain landscaping and agriculture projects
  • Schedule work, plan daily work activities, and monitor the work being done and take corrective action immediately
  • Train and coach gardeners and labors, especially on safety procedures when large equipment or hazardous materials are involved.
  • Oversee all aspects of maintenance as well as agriculture direct projects for the company's clients.
  • Design a variety of spaces that include parks, gardens, etc.
  • Work with surveyors, designers, planners and civil engineers in order to maintain gardens.
  • Consider budget, client needs, functionality, government regulations and environmental impact when maintaining a site.
  • Research both natural and man-made features that exist on proposed sites to determine how to improve them and work them into the plans.
  • Make several revisions to the design of the gardens to meet clients’ needs and tender requirements and assure profitability.
  • Compile reports, cost estimates, photos, illustrations, land use studies and models to create a proposal to submit to the client when the site plan is completed.
  • List the needed materials, labours and supplies, as well as maintenance details when a contract is approved.
  • Performs other related duties including preparing proposals as may be required by the Agricultural Manager.

  • knowledge of landscape designs
  • Ability to read and understand all landscape drawings and designs
  • Familiar with plants and shrubs
  • Familiar with irrigation systems
  • Familiar with soils and fertilizers
  • Knowledge of plants treatments during plant disease
  • Aware of different garden names
